This is the entrance to the patio coming in from the driveway-

This is just as you walk into the patio thru the cafe doors-

I took this photo while standing at the door going into the house looking back at the patio-

This is the side of the patio- lovely plants everywhere!

Although the patio is so pretty and comfortable, it was very hot yesterday so everyone stayed inside in the air conditioning. This was the snack table-
The party was for Lou's sister in law, Dee, who is visiting from N.J. I enjoyed meeting Dee so much. She is witty, lots of fun, very personable and a drop dead gorgeous woman! I'm serious- she is movie star beautiful, and so fit and trim. She looks a good 20 years younger than her age. I'd love to know her skin care secrets- smooth as silk, I kid you not. I think she should write a book on how to look fabulous after age 60.Other than the party, we didn't do anything fun this past weekend. Mike planted 3 Bismark Palm trees in the backyard which took up most of his weekend because he bought such big ones. After digging the holes, laying the black weed blocking stuff and getting them in the ground, he then surrounded them with circular concrete edgers and filled the area around each tree with decorative rock.
Mike finished putting up all the beadboard in the living room, dining room and hallway, so now I need to pick out paint and get busy painting. Again... Hopefully we won't screw it up this time.
I hope you all had a great weekend and that this week is a good one for you.
Peace-
Linda Fleming

great looking patio :D with the swinging doors all the stuff in there would have been stolen here :/
Looks like a wonderful place to have a party and all that wonderful food, yummy!
Aww, I would have loved to see your friends, too...but it was fun to see the patio and all their collections. The food looks yummy, I could have really made a pig of myself there.
I hope we're going to get to see your palm trees!
What a lovely patio packed full of interesting things. It sounds like you all had a great time. Yummy looking food too ~ :)
I know your palms were potted but that would have been a big job for Mike. I remember moving four golden cane palms from near the pergola in a previous home because they had grown way too big....they were in the ground and it was a lot of work and effort just to dig the darned things out of the ground. Not sure about there but, when transplanting established palms that have been in the ground, it's recommended that you dig out an enormous hole at the new location and then fill it with water and let the water soak into the ground before planting the palm into its new home. I think it took us two days. I remember it well and so does my poor back. lol
What a nice place and sounds as you had a wonderful time!
Great pics Linda :)
That is a lot of stuff your neighbours have collected. The fairy lights in there are so pretty. That food looks so yummy too!
ooweee...that is summery, artsy, seaside and tropical...and all at the same time. It looks like fun for a party... ...but I'm not sure I would feel too relaxed in it for any length of time once the partygoers left....
what a fun couple they must be to have for neighbours....
wow, enjoyed the tour, great area there!
Looks like you had a lovely time and your neighbours have such a colourful place.
