It's all in the details...

Once again I missed the Monday Photo Challenge. I've been battling insomnia again and just not on the ball lately. I plod through each day feeling blah and out of step with life. But I have been working on the aging nude bathing beauty. Started etching some details into her face. I like to do that before the sanding starts, then after she is sanded the details are softened and blend in nicely.

She's needing some hands and feet now. I started sculpting one foot and have added hand armatures to her wrists. Now it's time to begin fattening up her right arm before I start on that hand.

Here she is trying on her hat so I can get her hand and arm positioned before I start sculpting. Her hat is silk and she loves the bright color.

She's quite the flirt, the old tart! Look at her showing off her hat to the tribal man.

I think maybe he is more interested in her hat than her. He offered to hang on to it while her sculpting continues. The poor tribal guys are still waiting to be embellished. Right now they are making do with a few things I threw on them temporarily.

Peace-
Linda

LOL at your inference to her being an old tart....I don't know whether he is after the hat or not. After all, he did have a watchful eye on her butt the other day. You may have to separate those two or they may well run off together. lol

She looks exactly the way I feel! Linda, I always love your sculpts, but this one looks like it came straight from your heart. She's just marvelous.

Hilarious! .... totally unconcerned about their nudity, both of them....

My Mom used to have a saying...Olde Englishe I guess...

"Red hat, no drawers" .... used when they were kids to describe a tart-like woman ... or perhaps even someone a bit more racy yet...

she' going to be pretty special when she's finished.....

Wonderful Linda. She is coming to life. It looks as though the tribel man and she are having a conversation.

I think the Tribal guy took the old tart's hat because he got used to seeing her, completely naked! LOL
Linda, since you are in Florida maybe you should dress her up in a Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka-dot bikini! VBG
What a sight that would be. ROFLMBO

He looks pretty keen on her if you ask me, not her hat either.... she is coming along great and I can't wait to see how she ends up.

I am finding myself drawn more and more to this type of art Linda - more expressionistic than realistic and not at all cliched. I keep coming back to look at her shape over and over again... this is so cool! By the way, Norma's suggestion for her swimsuit cracked me up. Have you decided how you want to dress her yet?
