Mike was home Monday, so I hid in my studio and left him to deal with the talkative carpenter, and avoided him again most of Tues. I noticed both days the guy worked non-stop, not even stopping for lunch, so Tuesday afternoon I took a break from the studio and asked him if he would like a sandwich and a soda. He accepted the soda, but declined the sandwich- and this somehow opened the window of opportunity for him to tell me about the polyps in his bowels that suddenly ruptured one day, causing him to hemorrhage via his butt and have to be taken by ambulance to the hospital. The rest of the day, I couldn't help but look at his rear end when he would walk in and out, scared to death blood would start spurting out his ass and I would have to call an ambulance for him. Luckily neither happened- bloody pooper problems I don't need. But all in all I have to give it to the guy, he was a hard worker.
I completely missed Photo of the Week on Monday. The computer room is an inner room with no windows, and the fumes from the glue and wood were awful in here. I've had the air purifier and ceiling fan running since yesterday afternoon, and it was just this afternoon that I could stand to be in here. Hopefully next week I will have some interesting photos and be on time.
The only photo I have to show today is a delightful gift our Norma sent me. Look at this darling poodle pin! Isn't that just the cutest thing? Thank you Norma, you are too sweet and thoughtful. I've been thinking about digging my sewing machine out and making a bag with a poodle motif. Wouldn't this pin look cute on the bag?
I hope you all had a fantastic holiday weekend! I'll be catching up with everyone's blogs in the next couple of days.Peace-
Linda

ooops.... sorry...how could I forget the renos were in progress? bad me..bad me!! but.... I am so glad that you are alright, not totally down and out due to noxious fumes or equally toxic trades guys...
I absolutely know what you are going through with this 3-4 a.m. before falling asleep business. It drives me batty...but... I have discovered that if I work out hard and fore myself not to nap at all during the day...it sometimes helps. Last night after being up at 6:30 a.m. ... working outside in the yard all day..(my back was so sore I could hardly walk by afternoon)... had some wine at suppertime.... desperately wanted to lie down by about 5p.m....but resisted...and carried on til about 10:30... and went to bed. Didn't feel tired..but did manage to drift off by about midnight...and felt pretty rested by 7:30 this morning. Got the first game with my old guys today too...it was a beautiful day.
Hi Linda,
So happy to see that the poodle pin arrived and you like it. Doesn't that poodle look like fabulous Isabella? :)
I just couldn't pass it up and had to get it for you.
A bag with a Poodle Motif would be great. Go for it! :)
Hugs!
Oh that poodle pin is gorgeous. Bet Bella will be pleased.
Glad to know you have your computer room back to yourself. No going to bed late and getting up early is not the kind of thing I can do at a stretch either now a days. Hope you get rested now.
That pin is so cute, and will look fabulous on a bag.
I'm soooo happy that flooring job is finished without making you violently ill, but I think I might have gotten a bit queasy listening to that man's bowel problems. Hopefully you won't have to deal with him ever again.
"polyps in his bowels that suddenly ruptured one day"
o.0 I'm all for people sharing things but thats a bit much lol :p I too would have been paranoid he was going to start bleeding at any second o.0
a bag with a poodle motif is a great idea :D
OH, what a cute poodle pin from Norma!
There are times when I wish I could stay awake until at least 2 or 3 AM because I think I'd get so much more done. My body clock always has me feeling tired and sleepy by 10:30 PM unless we're having a movie night, in which case, I fight the sleepy feeling and manage to get my second wind.
Just as well the carpenter is a hard worker because that means he will finish the job more quickly so then, you won't have to visualise his butt ~ lol
what a cute cute poodle..great gift.
